Lifetime Inc. Set to Release Part Two of ‘Surviving R.Kelly’ in January.

Lifetime Inc., producers of ‘Surviving R. Kelly’; a show detailing the account of the alleged victims of sexual misconduct by R. Kelly are set to release a sequel which has been subtitled ‘The Reckoning’ on the 2nd of January at 9pm, ET/PT.

The sequel will have a cast of new alleged survivors, supporters and legal experts as well as updates on the developing story of his federal charges. It explains why attention is now being given to alleged victims who spoke up in the past.

The producers of the show have partnered with numerous bodies, including National Coalition Against Domestic Violence as well as Girls for Gender Equity. They released a trailer which makes use of emotional appeal and shows crying women as well as R. Kelly’s famous interview with Gayle King.

The American singer has since the 90’s faced various claims of sexual misconduct and abuse. In 2002, he was accused of 13 cases of child pornography, all of which he was declared innocent of in 2008. On the 22nd of February this year, the singer was indicted on 10 counts of sexual assault, and was arrested on the 11th of July on the basis of alleged sex crime and interference of justice. In all, he is charged with 18 cases of various crimes including child pornography, kidnapping as well as forced labor.

The musician has on all counts of charges pleaded not guilty.
