Snoop Doggy Dogg curbs concussions in his Youth Football League

Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr., known by his stage names Snoop Doggy Dogg, Snoop Dogg and recently Snoop Lion or Snoopzilla is an all time American rapper who has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. He has another name Coach Snoop well known to kids. His much love and respect for kids made him start the Snoop Youth Football foundation and League to help nature talent and train leadership among them. He is very proud of his initiative as he reflects back since 2005. Arguably the sport has replaced baseball as “America’s game,” and this time last weekend Snoop was in a practice at Los Angel’s Crenshaw High School before the start of his youth league all-stars before crashing against Flo Rida’s Florida Football League all-stars.

Curbing Concussions
Recent reports shows decrease in participation since 2010, showing the largest decline in the programs games history in youth football league that goes up to the national youth leagues in USA football. This is out of fear of injury especially head injuries plugging NFL players which has led more parents keeping their kids off. Snoop explains in his league they have had fewer injuries over the said period because of what they are teaching the kids with proper necessary training.

Kids do not quit because of concussions, the concussions law should go with the teaching. The kids should be taught the right way to tackle and the injuries will go down and the playing will grow in the right way and it will work with NFL in the long run. Therefore NFL should work with the youth football league or lower levels so that when they go to higher levels they do what they have been practicing their whole life. It is amazing to Snoop Doggy Dogg to be part of the kids’ lives being able to coach them in like 10 years ago and when he runs into them, they are like, “What’s up, Coach Snoop?” It makes him to dedicate more time to football as it hurts when he gets much love and respect from these kids in the world for being part of them from their tender ages.
