Chris Brown Helps Fabolous Get Loso’s Way 2 ‘Ready’ On New Single

Fabolous sure has a way with the ladies. Though the Brooklyn-bred MC started out spitting the wittiest raps on the mixtape scene, he quickly evolved into one of hip-hop’s leading lotharios, and his latest single “Ready,” with Chris Brown, proves he hasn’t lost his touch.

Fab dropped the soothing first single from his upcoming Loso’s Way 2 on Thursday (January 17), just two months after serving the streets with his The S.O.U.L. Tape 2 mixtape. The Runners-produced swoon starts off with twinkling piano keys and a commanding Chris Brown hook.

“Baby, we don’t need a bed,” Breezy starts before bragging of his prowess and how he can get his lover in the mood with just “one touch.”

Like so many of Fab’s R&B-laced singles, he manages to toe the line between radio-friendly formats and edgy raps. In the second verse, Loso likens his lovemaking skills to a stealthy homicide. “Relax, when her tension’s up, girl, you just call your ninja up/ And I’ll pop up in that all black, kill that/ See I’m dressed appropriate, you gotta feel that,” he rhymes with a calming flow.

In the past, Fab has done well crafting seductive radio hits with Ne-Yo (“Make Me Better”), The-Dream (“Throw It in the Bag”) and Lil’ Mo (“Can’t Let You Go”), and though all have made a killing on the Billboard charts, he has never notched a #1 on the ever-elusive Hot 100. Could this new Chris Brown concoction be the one? They sure sound ready!
