Maybe murder isn’t the case after all? Eleven solo albums into his career, Snoop Dogg insists that fans have yet to see the real him, but on his next album, he hopes to change all of that. “It’s a project where it’s more about the element of surprise, but at the same time it’ll be talked about in due time,” Snoop told News this weekend at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas. “It’s special; it’s a real special project to me because it’s like the reincarnation and the birth of me becoming who I really am.”

Snoop Dogg Arrested For Marijuana Possession

Snoop Dogg was arrested in Texas this past weekend after a drug-sniffing dog uncovered marijuana on his tour bus. The Doggfather’s tour bus was stopped by border patrol at a checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, the same location where Willie Nelson was arrested for weed in 2010. Agents discovered a prescription bottle with several marijuana joints inside of it totaling under a half-ounce of weed. Snoop said that the weed was his and had a prescription for it, but Texas has a zero tolerance policy for weed regardless of his status in other states.

Back in February, it was Snoop Dogg and company suing a knockoff clothing designer; now, the California rep is feeling the wrath of the opposite side of the law. A Lebanese concert promoter is now suing the rapper for ruining his reputation by smoking marijuana at a 2009 concert. According to sources, Snoop is being sued by a Lebanese concert promoter for smoking marijuana at a 2009 performance at the Forum de Beruit, which he claims harmed his reputation in his community. The incident in question was apparently captured on film and later used in the video for Snoop’s ’09 song “That’s Tha Homie” from Malice N Wonderland.
