“Outkast” is a big name in the hip hop game. It is an American duo formed in 1992, in East Point, Atlanta, Georgia composed of Andre’ 3000 Benjamin and “Big Boi” Patton. Their comeback is to celebrate 20 years anniversary being together and will headline Coachella as well as embarking on a 40-date festival tour. Outkast’s former manager Queen Latifah revealed that the duo are working on a new album. She said, “They are doing movies and they are about to work on their new album. I don’t manage them anymore.” Since releasing their debut album in 1994, they have sold more than 25 million albums globally.

Outkast have been away from the rap industry and their fans have missed their unique styles, but it’s that time they are back. Outkast have announced the first UK date of their reunion tour to headline this year’s Bestival on the Isle of Wight which has been revealed. The event will take place from 4-7 September at Robbin Hill Country Park. The organizers have lined three more headliners added to the bill and the festival theme will be Desert Island Disco. Rob da Bank, who organizes said in a statement, “Hey ya! By the power invested in me as chief Bestival booker, I’m pretty darn excited to announce that Outkast are headlining Bestival this year.” He added further by saying that they have struggled hard to the recently re-united legendry hip hop duo to headline the event and it has been successful. Palm trees, grass skirts and mirrorballs are the order of the day. It truly is gonna be the Bestival yet. 2013’s Bestival was headlined by Elton John, Snoop Dogg and Fatboy.

Returning after a hiatus of seven years, Outkast will spend the summer celebrating their 20th anniversary by appearing as a marquee act at series of events four of which have been announced including New York’s Governors Ball. Outkast have been slated to perform at the wireless music festival in England alongside Kanye West, Pharell Williams, Wiz Khalifa and Drake.
