Lil Boosie to be finally released from prison on February 13

Torrence Hatch mostly known as Lil Boosie his stage name from Baton Rouge, Louisiana has served more than four years in the London State Penitentiary. The Rouge emcee is reportedly scheduled to be released on February 13, 2014. This was confirmed by Boosie’s brother and manager Taquari Hatch following early reports that Lil Boosie would be released in August 2014. Boosie’s early release is a function of his completion of a substance abuse and two other classes. Sources now report that Boosie’s good behavior has paid off earning him early release date in February 13, 2014. Only two weeks away. His official twitter account also tweeted “#countdown” last week confirming the reports could be true.

Lil Boosie’s incarceration

The American rapper has been incarcerated since 2009 after originally being arrested on a parole violation and third strike marijuana charge. Two years later while still incarcerated, the rapper was sentenced additional eight years of hard labour after pleading guilty to drug charges stemming from an attempt drugs into the famed Angola prison. The bad Azz entertainment founder was awaiting trial for first-degree murder charges after he allegedly ordered a hit on a 35 year old man in late 2009. Lil Boosie was found not guilty by the Baton Rouge jury which would have led the rapper face a possible life sentence. The rapper was able to turn things around following the incident and going as far as completing his GED while behind bars.

In an exclusive interview a year ago, Lil Boosie described his plans to continue recording music to a Spin reporter. Boosie said, “I have about 500 songs at the moment. I am ready to get into the studio with the best producers. I feel like that I’m making the best music I’ve ever made. The more I go through in life the better my music gets and it’s been crazy the last three years.” He further said his music is “reality rap.” And hip hop music can make you dance and bob your head but in can’t make you cry or touch your heart like reality rap.
